The Kübler-Ross Model of Reactions to Website/Company Changes
Denial. ”I can’t believe they’re changing this. Let’s all complain, and they’ll change it right back!”
Anger. ”This is bullshit. THIS IS BULLSHIT! I’ve used this website/company for forever, and they’re treating us like this?”
Counter-Anger. “Why is everyone so angry? It’s just a website/company. (Other website/company) did the same thing, and no one complained. I can’t stand all these people complaining.”
Bargaining. ”I heard that, if you go into your preferences that there’s an option to use the old layout/system, and if enough people use that option, maybe they won’t change after all.”
Counter-Counter-Anger. ”Everyone talking about this is stupid. Especially the people complaining about the complainers.”
Depression. ”Fuck it. I’m going back to MySpace/Blockbuster/AOL.”
Acceptance. ”Oh yeah, I forgot they changed it. It seems like it was always this way.”
